Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

You brush your teeth every day. You eat every day. You wake up every day. You look in a mirror every day. You make a choice every day. So can you choose YOGA every day? Can you smile every day? Yes. You just have to make it a habit. Like sex.
- (Just checking to see if you're paying attention!!)
We do things every day that have become a HABIT!
Did you know one of your habits is to have negative thoughts, or judgements about yourself or others every day??
Even at least one a day.
WHAT IS THAT ABOUT??

Oh boy it's dusty in those dark corners of your heart. There are cobwebs in your brain. There is toxic sludge in your organs. There is clutter in your thoughts. TIME FOR SUMMER CLEANING!
Can you make space for who you will become?
The other day I went to a store with a bowl full of little cards that had messages from Buddha.
I picked 3 -
Meditate,
Purpose
and -
We should feel lucky we can learn in this life.
SO -
What is your purpose?
What can you learn now?
Meditate on these 2 questions.
BUT -
You have to clean out your inner closet first!

Hot yoga does many things for you. You get rid of toxins from all the "bad" stuff you've done:) You sweat out fat cells - but most important - you tone your brain! Because it's so hot - your brain gets stronger.
You are in the hot yoga room - and your brain thinks...
"What the heck am I doing? What kind of torcher is this?"
"Wait a minute, I can do this."
"I am strong"
"Everything is going to be fine."
"I am a freakin superhero!!"
"I can do anything!"
See...your brain is now strong and fit.

What can you transform? SO MUCH. Your thoughts. Your perception. Your outlook on life. Your reaction. Your emotions. TRANSFORM. Why? Better sex life. (Just checking to see if you're here.) You have the personal power to create all your relationships, situations, and life to a high degree of enjoyment and awesomeness!
Yes - awesomeness, o.k.
Your given right is to be in joy, bliss and happiness.
So when you are feeling closed, resisting life and down, you can always transform your thoughts.
When life sucks - you can change your perception.

Yesterday I ate 1 hour before practicing a 90 minute hot class. (Really smart) It was a small chicken wrap, and I really "thought" I would be fine. As the class started, my stomach started gurgling. Oh boy.. Then, some air pockets started forming and getting bigger and working their way up my throat and wanting to come out my mouth. Oh brother.
All because of one little wrap? Are you freakin kidding me?

You know when you're in yoga and some days you feel dark, heavy and anxious? And even though you are "supposed" to feel at peace and calm - some days you want to scream from the depths of your asana! Well - that's your inner body talkin...so how do you make it lighter, and brighter?
You just do. You bring all your awareness on making the inner body brighten, and it will.
Eventually.
If you are in your head and can't stop thinking - close your eyes and visualize your inner body shining brighter with each breath.
