Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

**WARNING** If you like to ride your bike naked, garden naked, sneeze naked - or do anything that involves many people watching you naked...the following blog may offend you.

I was reading the Westender the other week, looking forward to my favorite articles and ramblings from one of the most exciting locations in Vancouver, when a bright picture caught my eye. Then I looked closer and saw it. A naked bum spread over top of a hard bike seat. Then, I saw even more naked bums riding bikes beside that one. All on their bikes, riding through the city. It was a hot sunny day. There was not even a thin layer between the spread eagleness of the crotches, and the hard, sweaty, black bike seat.

      Yowsa.

      Bad Naked.

I'm sure for some, this activity may give you pleasure. (In many different ways.) That's great. However...what about the people that have to view this activity. Does it give their eyes pleasure? Not for most.

In fact...I did cringe a little. But, that might just be me.

Let me give you an example of BAD NAKED...

      DISCLAIMER -
      * It is not the PERSON who is bad - it is the activity.
      * Bad naked is based on people OBSERVING this activity.

      BAD NAKED -
      Riding a horse bareback.
Doing a chin up on a steel bar.
Anything involving straddling any THING. (Not any ONE - I mean THING.)

Running. Things are girating, convulsing, jelloing - You get the picture.
Opening a tight jar of pickles.
      Having a coughing fit.

And - Hot Yoga. Oh man - that is the definition of BAD naked. I don't care how good looking you are.

Imagine if you entered a hot yoga class and everyone was naked.

      Ummmm...

Standing Bow pulling pose? When you have to kick your foot back into your hand, and reach forward - and you are doing the standing splits...Naked? And dripping with sweat? And you see this in front of you?

      Oh boy...What a visual.

Also - any lunging, straddling, reaching, pulling, grunting, groaning, hot and sweaty in yoga...naked?

Maybe with one select person of your choice - BUT in a random class where you could not decide who the 30 others would be?

      I don't think so.

      Bad Naked.

So, next time you are in hot yoga class - and you are having a tough time...
and you feel very serious and intense...

Imagine the next pose being done NAKED.

That will make you smile. Or cringe. Well - it will definitely make your class more interesting.

      Peace
      Andrea
