Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

I am so tired. I am not flexible. My groin hurts. I stink. Gross, I am sweating like a pig. That person in front of me has a big butt.

And so on, and so on, and so on.

Is this focusing on the good stuff in your yoga class? Ummmmm...maybe in Bizarro world.

There are certain phases of "yoga evolution" in your pratice. When you first begin, it's all about your body, the mental challenge of just getting through, and trying to finish the class without crumpling into a ball of despair.

That first stage could take years or days - depending on the individual.
