Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

Yoga is about letting go? What do you think? Well, yoga is many different things to many different people. You can't really put "yoga" in a box. When you come to yoga - a lot of it is physical. (Especially when you twist your body into a pretzel or stand on your head.) BUT - in Savasana - you let go of the chatter of the mind.
Physically, you let go of tension, knots, injury, limits.
Mentally, you let go of stress, fear, busy mind, negativity.
Emotionally, you let go of past stuff, beliefs that hold you back, the prison of holding a grudge, walls and shields and defenses.
Well - you hope to let go of this stuff.
Some days you just want a work out.
An important thing to notice after all your yoga is -
Can you forgive yet?
Forgive the person you think wronged you?
Forgive someone who hurt you.
Forgive your parents.
Forgive your children.
Forgive everyone from the past.
Forgive the people in your present who don't know any better.
If you keep holding a grudge against someone - guess what?
You are the one who suffers.
You are the one with a hard heart and soul.
You are the one who wears even more armor.
You are the one who builds another wall for yourself.
You are the one who is tight in the heart and mind.
So - after you can finally learn to forgive someone else -
Then you have to forgive yourself.
Then you will be free.
Then your yoga begins.
Peace
Andrea
