Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

One of the people who lost his home of 25 years to the recent Kelowna fire was grateful. He thanked the community for their support, and he was grateful that his family and himself still had the clothes on their back and a few credit cards in their pocket.

He showed gratitude even after losing 25 years of memories, losing the home where all his kids were born and raised, all the trophies and pictures, and important documents. They didn't have time to get anything before the destruction.

All their furniture and cars and clothes and food - Gone.
