For the BEST YOU EVER SUMMER 2009 - Week one was give up something for 1 week that was not adding to the best you ever. Mine was coffee. And anger. Giving up coffee was easy, until I got angry on Tuesday.
Darn it.
Anyway - I am happy to report that I did not give in to the wanting of the coffee with double cream double sugar. Because a wonderful angel named Camille saved me, and told me to get Hot Chocolate instead.
It worked.
After that, I started drinking green tea and herbal tea as a substitute.

You know that class when you can barely go on. You start seeing a desert where there is no shade and the sun is burning through your eyeballs. You want to leave. You really want to leave the class. You think you are going to die.
But, you somehow manage to stay. You somehow manage to get through.
What is the part that is keeping you there?
And what is the part that wants to leave?
The SPIRIT keeps you there. (IN SPIRATION)
The MIND wants you to leave. (MONKEY MIND)
The MIND wants you to leave because it is reacting to the thoughts you are having.
It IS TOO HOT

You have just finished a blissful class, and you are at peace. You are just cooling down as the sweat starts to chill your bones when you leave the yoga room. Then, it happens. You enter the...CHANGE ROOM. Oh man, here it comes. The change room test.
You want to just CHANGE your clothes. But, the change room could CHANGE you into something else.
Do you change into the BEAST? Does your peace change into rage bubbling out your eyeballs?
Well, it's all test my friend. Just a test. A test of the emergency test your peace of mind system.
