Is Hot Yoga right for ME?

There are a lot of new peeps entering Westcoast hot yoga this month, and WELCOME to you! The other night a new student asked me..."Is Hot yoga right for me?" Another student asked..."Is Hot yoga right for everybody?" Let's see...that is like asking - "Is American Idol the right show for me?" Or..."Is pink the right shade for everybody?"
I don't know. It depends on you. What I DO know for sure is...you have to try, and give your best effort and open mind and heart to whatever you decide to do.
If you come into hot yoga and after 3 minutes decide you hate it...well, that was a little quick.
Just like if you hear the first note of a song on the radio and threw the radio out the window...or you hear the first 2 words out of Ryan Seacrests mouth on American Idol...and you smash your television with your foot. (Maybe Ryan Seacrest is a bad example. He is a bit of a dork.)
Anyway - the point is...some people are already closed and protect themselves against new experiences before they give it their best try.
I saw a new hot yoga student attend 3 classes, and he then realized it wasn't for him.
Well, he definitely gave it his best try.
That is why we have the first week for $15! So you can honestly try to come and give it a few times to know if it is truly right for you!
Hot yoga is definitely fantastic for some people. They have been coming for years and see amazing results.
Others would rather put on a wetsuit and get thrown by helicopter into the middle of the Pacific Ocean and swim from Europe to Canada.
So how about we try and attempt that Pacific swim before we become closed off to the idea.
You never know what you will love or if "Something is for you" until you are open enough to give it a try...
That is what life is about.
Becoming wide open enough to try the adventures.
Peace
Andrea
