Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

DRAMA IS - Hunching your shoulders in defeat, a frown on your face, anger in your heart, a furrow in your brow. "Poor me, Why me, What have I done to deserve this??" - That is drama. Sound familiar?
Do you know anyone who is living in complete DRAMA? Someone who is very dramatic, and seems like they are always spinning around like a top headed for a dark black cloud of storm, and they make you very tired?
Just talking to them is very draining, and you feel like you want to be even more calm and at peace yourself because you notice how awful is is to be filled with so much freakin drama!
Is this person (oh no, could it be...) - YOU? Oops.
Well, I have decided that I am personally DONE with drama. I just experienced something quite "dramatic" and I told a few people about it. After I talked about my experience a few times, I realized that I was spreading this drama on to others who don't need any drama in their lives! (Sorry my peace lovin peeps. Lesson learned.)
Well, I woke up. When something happens to you in your life - the only one making it dramatic is YOU!
It's all about YOUR perception and outlook and reaction.
If something happens to you - no matter what it is, stop for a second before you tell anyone and decide if sharing your experience is going to bring peace to yourself and the other person.
If not - don't bother.
Keep it to yourself and decide to take FORWARD ACTION.
Whatever is going on with you, the only solution that brings peace is to take the forward steps to accept what is happening or CHANGE what is happening.
But lose the drama.
You can accept, or change. That's it. If you want to be at peace.
If not - then go ahead and rehash, and play the victim, and cry poor me. Then you will suffer. So if you like to suffer - take the route of drama. And see the people in your life suffer through your misery.
So to review...
Drama is - hunching your shoulders in defeat, a frown on your face, anger in your heart, a furrow in your brow. "Poor me, Why me, What have I done to deserve this??" - That is drama.
How about choosing - "I will be great...I will prevail. I have a lot to be grateful for." Straighten up, open your heart, open your eyes, and ears and put a freakin smile on your face. Acceptance, forward motion, and clear that foggy storm of drama from your energy field!
Use it in yoga as well.
Lose the drama in the yoga room, on your yoga mat with the yoga pose,
and of course lose the drama in your life.
Notice if you brought in any drama into your day today, and notice that you are the one who can live a comedy, a romance, or an inspirational story on the your movie screen of your life.
Save the drama for the film makers.
Peace
Andrea
