On February 2nd, I decided to attempt the 60 day challenge at WHY. Did I think I could? Yes. Am I almost there? Yes. Is it easy? That would be a no.

I wish it was easy as pie - but it's had ups and downs. I am almost in the home stretch, and I want it to be over. I embrace hot yoga, and love my practice - but there are some days I would rather hide under a rock then muddle through my practice with sad energy. Some days I am sore, some days I am tired, and some days I feel blah.

But - this is not some kind of pity blog. I am a yoga teacher for goodness sakes - right?

That's true - which is why I have to turn this around and tell you the truth.

The days I don't feel like practicing - are the best days to practice.

The tears turn to smiles. The pain turns to release. The anger turns to elation. The dark clouds lift and the hidden sky appears.

Even if this just happens for a little while after the class - it always happens.

      Every time.

So, next time you are having " One of those days " - go to yoga.

Go to that yoga class knowing it will move what is stuck inside of you - it will shift things around. It will shake up the cobwebs inside your brain.

It will purify any toxic sludge in your body.

You don't have to turn to booze, drugs, your shrink or anyone. The yoga practice is there for you!

      That is a fact.

I am so lucky I have had this challenge, because those days I didn't feel like it, may have been a lot worse if I didn't force myself to go to yoga.

      Thank you challenge.

Look for my name on that wall in WHY hallway in April!

And good luck on any challenge you are facing.

      Peace
      Andrea
