Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

      Smells like ? spirit.

I was at the Canucks game Saturday, and the over 18,000 crowd was united with their white towels and excitement. BUT then, when the other team scored the 3rd goal, things started to turn into ugly Vancouver.

Team spirit? No. Not quite. It started with someone above us throwing a full beer on the crowd below (including the row I was sitting in.) Then, I guess all the other aggressive drunk idiots decided to follow the lead of throwing their 7 dollar beers on to the ice! At the players. A lot of beer was thrown on that ice.

Are you kidding me? Would the actual Canucks ever do anything like that? No. I can't believe there are Vancouverites who would.

Then when the game was almost over - half the crowd had left the building already. That isn't team spirit either.

What's up with these "fans" who get so angry over a hockey game? I know it is dissapointing. I was sad. - but I got over it pretty quickly. I managed to go out and still have a good time with my friends afterwards.

Also, if they are getting that mad over a hockey game - imagine how angry they get over incidents in their life they may actually have control over?

They need to memorize the Serenity prayer -

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Yeah, the WISDOM to know the difference.

I guess when you are drunk and angry, the wisdom gets lost somewhere.

      Peace
      Andrea

      Go Canucks Go

      SERENITY NOW!
