Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

I was driving along Davie Street on Wednesday and saw a huge line-up of people. I turned the corner on Granville Street and the line-up stretched up the street. There were hundreds of people waiting. I wondered what it was, and then finally saw the front of the line. It was the YWCA Job Fair. My heart sank. All of those people were waiting in a 3 hour line up trying to find some kind of opportunity for their lives.

Then I remembered to fill my heart with gratitude for what I had right away.

Instead of feeling sorry for anyone, your heart could fill with thanks for what you have.

I am lucky enough to have a great job, and I enjoy it, and I have freedom, and I can pay my bills.

Many of us take the simple things for granted.

So, what are you thankful for today?

Family, friends, health, love, your work, pleasure, a home, life?

Take the smallest thing and hold in close to your heart.

Savor it, and remember what you have.

Even if you are out of work - there must be something in your life you could find thanks for.

That gratitude brings faith into your darkest day.

Stuff yourself with Thanks. Take a moment in the middle of all the crazy and remember.

      Peace
      Andrea
