      Talk too much

      I lost my voice yesterday, so my classes were very quiet. Maybe that's a good thing. Don't you ever wish that teachers would stop talking so much sometimes? Is there room for silence? Yes. Silence is golden.

      That goes for many people as well.

      You know that "filler" conversation or "small" talk people have just because they are uncomfortable with silence? Is that a waste of energy? Or is it just polite?

      What about when someone leaves you a 10 minute phone message? Why can't they just say "Call me back." ?
