Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny. -- Upanishads

      The compare game.

It doesn't matter if they have a "better standing bow" than you.

"Wow, look at her...I can't bend back as far as she can - I suck." "Oh brother, I don't have his body - why bother?" "My fat is hanging out, and she is so skinny." "I can't balance in tree like everyone else can."

What is up with this COMPARE game? When you are in the yoga room - you are there for yourself, your body, your practice, your yoga poses. Are you focusing on yourself, or the person in front of you, or beside you?

Are you comparing your body to someone else? Are you comparing your skill level with someone else? Are you bad mouthing yourself in your head?
